Know I'm Saved

I wonder if I should be baptized again?

Although water baptism is not necessary for salvation, it is the will of God for every believer to be baptized. So, "What if I was baptized when I was 10 years old, but I didn't become a true believer until now? Should I be baptized again?" Or, "What if I know that I am now a true believer in Jesus, but I am not exactly sure at what point I first believed? Was it when I first clearly understood the Gospel and was later baptized? Or, did I become a believer after I was baptized, when certain issues were resolved that caused me to doubt my salvation? Since I am not certain on this matter, should I be baptized again?"

Even though your circumstances may be complicated, the answer is really quite simple. Everything a Christian does should be done in faith. Baptism is no different. When we are baptized, we are showing the world on the outside, what we are supposed to be trusting in on the inside, the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for our sins.

Baptism on the outside without faith in Christ on the inside is not Christian baptism at all; it is merely religious ceremony. If you wonder if you should be baptized again, you will be glad to know that the scriptures actually have to say about your situation. Listen to this message to learn more.
